eunite: SME Launches Grant Scheme to Boost Green Line Trade

The eunite: SME project, funded under the aid programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and implemented by GIZ International Services, is pleased to announce that applications for a grant scheme specifically designed to boost Green Line Trade are now closed. With an indicative budget of €2 million, the scheme will empower Turkish Cypriot businesses and foster their integration into the broader EU market. The deadline for submitting applications for the initial concept note stage was 26 August 2024. Successful applicants from this initial stage will be invited to submit full applications in September 2024.

The grant scheme specifically targets Turkish Cypriot manufacturers, producers, and traders to engage in, develop and grow Green Line Trade through improving business processes and innovation and ensuring compliance with EU standards. Grants ranging from €20,000 to €60,000 will be available to support a variety of activities, including investments in new machinery and lab equipment, services such as standardization and certification (e.g. CE markings, ISOs), digital enhancements, green transition initiatives, marketing support, as well as capacity building and training programs to enhance the skills of staff involved in GLT.

As part of the eunite: SME project, this grant scheme is a vital component of the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot Community, underscoring the commitment to economic development and cooperation in Cyprus.
