The first Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the “EU support for upgrading public health and animal health in the Turkish Cypriot community, including in view of the Halloumi/Hellim PDO scheme implementation” was held on 14th of September 2023.
The PSC members were informed about the activities completed within the inception phase of the project but also about the planned activities. During the meeting, the PSC had the opportunity to exchange their views on the outputs of the inception report.
This inception phase was used as a valuable opportunity to carry out fieldwork to assess and identify the specific needs of the farms and FBOs. The project team was able to gather detailed data, which will serve as a baseline to assess the grant impact. The data will also be of much use as a tool for overall follow-up of the project beneficiaries throughout the implementation of the proposals to which grants were extended.
