eunite is celebrating a key milestone in promoting sustainable and innovative practices in the Turkish Cypriot community. Introducing support for the formation and implementation of EU CAP-aligned Operational Groups (OGs), a proven model for fostering collaboration, innovation, and development in agriculture, fisheries, and rural sectors.
OGs bring diverse actors, farmers, fishers, traders, advisors, and researchers, together to develop practical solutions, strengthen relationships, and build resilient communities.
Since 2014, over 3,300 OGs have received support across the EU, with a target of 10,000 by 2027, under a €300 million budget, as vital tools to enhance the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System.
In the Turkish Cypriot community, establishing OGs will be a cornerstone of the AKIS Strategy, fostering bottom-up, needs-driven innovation. Throughout 2025-2028, the eunite:AgriBusiness project will support this process, guided by trained advisors to help local initiatives form effective partnerships, develop and deliver innovative project ideas. By promoting collaboration and inclusive participation, eunite:AgriBusiness aims to empower communities to develop sustainable solutions, ensuring growth and resilience for the future.
